The Cabair Rent Back Scheme is valid for 12 months and is designed to take any hassle out of aircraft ownership. It also gives the owner an opportunity of receiving a revenue which can be used to assist in covering some of the costs involved in aircraft ownership. When an aircraft is purchased with a cabair Rent Back Agreement, a Cabair Flying School is assigned to manage and operate the aircraft on behalf of the owner. We will ensure that the aircraft is positioned at a suitable Cabair Flying School so that the aircraft will achieve maximum utilisation and thus earn the owner an attractive revenue. The owner is responsible for fixed and variable costs. These costs consist of the following:
FIXED COSTS
Insurance - both hull and 3rd party passenger liability.
Aerodrome Charges - these can include: Parking fee Management fee Base Landing Fee.
Annual Maintenance - Certificate of Airworthiness allowance.
VARIABLE COSTS
Maintenance - this is carried out by Cabair maintenance. Depending on the particular type of aircraft you own Check Services are due on each 50 or 100 hours flown. An Annual Inspection is due on all aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority require all aircraft to be operated with a Public Transport Certificate of Airworthiness. Once the engines reach the manufacturer's time limit, they will need to be overhauled.
Fuel - paid for by the owner or the operator as applicable.
REVENUE POTENTIAL
Under the Cabair Rent Back Scheme a revenue is paid by the operator to an owner on all revenue hours flown. This revenue can potentially cover up to all fixed and variable costs on an annual basis and hopefully give the owner a surplus which can be used as required.
